The Monday 08:00 sweep, scheduled
For the check you do at the start of the day whether or not there is anything in it: queue counts, an approval list, a filing status page, a stock or price column. Same steps as any workflow — the difference is that the scheduler starts it.
- Setup about 4 min
- 5 mornings a week
- Runs in your browser
The steps, written out
Build them in the ORCA panel. This is a recipe rather than a file to load — one sitting, then it is saved as your own profile.
Build the check as a normal workflow
Navigate, wait for the table, extract the three values you actually look at. If it is useful on demand, it is useful on a timer.
Make it write something down
A run nobody reads is a rumour. Write the values to a local file, or append them under the previous day so a change is visible at a glance.
Put it on the schedule
Set the recurring time in the panel. The scheduler runs your saved profile at that time, in your browser profile, on your machine.
Decide the failure behaviour now
If the page is unreachable: retry every five minutes, or one line in the log? Choose before you are away and someone asks why the file is empty.
Stay in the loop for gates
A login, CAPTCHA or confirmation still stops the run and waits for you. A schedule does not buy its way past anything.
The arithmetic, not a promise: multiply the minutes one batch costs you by hand against the 5 mornings a week you actually do. That product is what this replaces, for one sitting of about 4 min.
Two other starting points
Extract a list into a spreadsheet
Collect the rows of any list page into the fields you choose: the picker, extraction rules, retries and a local file. About 12 minutes to set up.
TemplateFill a form from rows you already keep
Drive a web form from the sheet you already maintain, one submission at a time, with condition checks before every submit. No API needed.
Your task is not one of these?
Send the steps you repeat and we will tell you honestly whether ORCA can hold them — and if it can, we will add it as a template.
